Borsigiana 'Albo' Variegata (Monstera Deliciosa Variegated)
*PLEASE NOTE: You will receive the exact plant as pictured
This incredibly rare, elusive, and sought after variety of Monstera, produces attractive variegated leaves marbled with white colouring. It somewhat smaller, more manageable variety than the standard Monstera Deliciosa, and is highly recommended for indoor growing. As an impressive houseplant, it has a spreading/climbing habit, is easy-to-grow and generally low maintenance plant.
THIS SPECIFIC PLANT: One from the personal collection. Not very keen on letting it go, but if it sells, then so be it. This huge leaf, stunning specimen flaunts amazing chunks of white variegation and green marbling, not only on it's leaf, but also on it's stem as well. Has a large amount of roots, that have transitioned well from spag. moss to a well draining blend (5:1:1 - Pine Back: Perlite: Peat Moss). Already has a new shoot pushing through. Although slower growing, (due to high levels of variegation), it has great potential, to continue to produce beautiful leaves. Note: One of the wax seals on one side of the stem has fallen off, but the plant is doing fine. Would recommend that the buyer is familiar with the care needed for a plant with higher levels of white variegation.
CARE: A humidifier is highly recommend. Keep moist during the warmer month periods and generally drier during the winter cooler months. Leaves with a lot of variegation need protection from sunlight. When the plant is actively growing during the warmer months, it needs a bit more food and water. Fertiliser (plant food) can be applied as granular slow release pellets or as a liquid.
